‘GIRL’ - Diamond Dust finished
420mm x 420mm (600mm x 600mm when hung diagonally)
Eight-layer screen print on 240gsm rainbow holographic paper stock
‘GIRL’ is based one of my classic designs, first created back in 2016 as gold, steel and glass piece.
Now it’s back, for a new version that’s been injected with some of the excitement you felt when you opened up a pack of Pokemon cards and there was a shiny Charizard waiting for you.
These eight-layer screen prints are another technical feat in collaboration with the print dungeon at Manson’s Press. Each colour was painstakingly built up, printing onto the super smooth rainbow holographic paper, until just the top part of each letter was left showing the magical movement of the paper underneath.
For this sub edition an extra level of pizzazz has been added by coating that holographic section with diamond dust which refracts the light for a psychedelic sparkle.
Please be careful when handling these prints, that smooth holographic surface scratches more easily than standard paper. So no jewellery or sharp nails when you take them out of the tube to have a look.
Its normal for some of the diamond dust to become dislodged in transit. Open the plastic sleeve upright so that it catches any loose fragments in the bag.
As ever I recommend taking them straight to your framers. These prints look great with a raised float mount like the one you can see in these photos.
Posted flat between multiple layers of double thick cardboard in an archival plastic sleeve.
